ENTRY 2 : EVOLUTION OF CALL

 And today i would like to share on topic " Evolution of Call"

 There are 3 historical phase of evolution of CALL:

•   Behavioristic CALL

          - A detail set of high and low level learning objectives is provided
          - is developed in 1960s based on behaviorist learning theory
             eg : The Stanford project
          - Advantages :
            Repetition is beneficial for learning
            Can provide immediate feedback

•   Communicative CALL

          - is developed in 1970s to 1980s

              eg : Computer as tutor and stimulus

          - Advantages :

            Programs are often cheap and available widely

            Emphasises on active student performances

            Greater student involvement

• Integrated CALL

          - use CD-ROMs
